We\u2019ve worked with whatever brands the specs include.&nbsp; If left up to us, we chose equipment that best meets the requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tacoma expansion of One Main Finance-installed a new rooftop unit and ductwork package to accommodate their new floor plan.<\/li><li>Teardown and rebuild for Taco Bell in Everett-new Carrier rooftop units were installed with roof curbs to fit cut openings in roof.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commercial equipment replacements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Replacing aging equipment with more energy efficient models not only saves money but also delivers a higher level of comfort. \u00a0Upgrades usually go smoothly as new models have similar footprints and adapter roof curbs can be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Krispy Kreme-work went fast thanks to Lennox\u2019s like-for-like unit and adapter curbs.<\/li><li>Calsak Plastics-removed old split systems to install 2 Trane heating and cooling RTUs involved dropping ductwork down to within 2 ft. of existing distribution ductwork to tie into the existing supply while adding return air trunk lines to new roof units.<\/li><li>Dollar Tree in Snoqualmie-removed old 30-ton Trane unit from the roof (which we recycled) and installed 5 new roof curbs, rooftop units and ductwork package.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our expertise with ductwork comes in handy especially when we\u2019re replacing one type of equipment with another, such as RTU\u2019s for split systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specialized dehumidification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Custom solutions are required when a company has industry specific needs, such as those below.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Solstice-installed 8 RTUs totaling 116 tons of cooling with ARID-Dry 5000\/6000 capable of removing up to 300+ gallons of moisture from humid grow room every 24 hours.<\/li><li>Iora Primary Care-installed high efficiency Trane heating and cooling equipment complete with dehumidification and high CO2 monitoring and ventilation capabilities.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Since we work with all makes and models, it\u2019s simply a matter of choosing the right equipment to do the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redesign vents for improved circulation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the status quo isn\u2019t doing the job, we figure out what\u2019s not working and devise a different (and better) way to improve air circulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lazarus Naturals in Ballard-reconfigured venting systems to get more site-specific exhaust accomplished.<\/li><li>Seattle Glass Blowing Studio-new exhaust venting involved removing old stack &amp; inefficient propeller fan before redesigning ductwork to connect it to high efficiency Captive Aire VFD compatible direct-drive utility set fan.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hood &amp; exhaust fan with ductwork<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our expertise in ductwork came in handy when Sagemax Bioceramics called because their existing ductwork was damaged and leaking.&nbsp; We replaced it with stainless steel ductwork and installed a new exhaust fan and customer-provided hood while we were there.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Seattle restaurant hood &amp; ventilation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the Twisted Fork Saloon in Tacoma decided to expand into a full-blown restaurant, it required upgrading their kitchen. Part of our work involved including cutting wall openings for a new grease duct and installing a new CaptiveAire control panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some projects are so big that it requires our whole team, like the Twin Peaks Restaurant.&nbsp; We installed 4 Carrier 12.5-ton rooftop units, ductwork, and kitchen hood exhaust fans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we neared opening day, Mike worked on controls for patio heaters while Pete anchored down equipment and installed the last registers. &nbsp;Thermostats and sensors were set up as James worked on \u2018start and test\u2019 and everything was done in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CaptiveAire hoods offer durability <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re in the market for a durable hood that\u2019s going to be up to the challenge of a commercial kitchen, you need CaptiveAire.&nbsp; They have many models that can be configured to meet all exhaust requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>MOD Pizza in Gig Harbor-our fourth MOD location included\u00a0complete\u00a0ductwork, CaptiveAire pizza oven hood with venting and register\u00a0installation<strong>.<\/strong><\/li><li>Farine Bakery &amp; Caf\u00e9-installed HVAC equipment, mix of exposed spiral ductwork and above grid duct, CaptiveAire hoods, grease duct and equipment, louvers, and refrigerant piping.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Commercial maintenance includes calibration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Many years of experience is what it takes to test and calibrate equipment to make sure we\u2019re hitting our targets.&nbsp; After a pulley and sheave change at the Paradise Inn on Mt. Rainier, we were successful with our upgrade and achieved our CFM\/RPM targets on the existing fans on the Gaylord kitchen hoods. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RPM targets<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>EF-1 is 2103 (target was 2093)<\/li><li>EF-2 is 2352 (target was 2332)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CFM targets<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>EF-1 is 7,100 (up from 5,100)<\/li><li>EF-2 is 5,850 (up from 4,120)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Most equipment needs adjusting from time to time and that\u2019s why maintenance is so important.
