K & D Mechanical Company History

Since 1999, K & D Mechanical, Inc. has been a full-service provider of heating and cooling services to commercial and residential clients.

Over the years, our dedication to hard work has earned us high profile clients, such as Key Arena, and our high quality, dependable service has kept these same clients for the past ten years.

Why our customer is so important!

Customers are the purpose of our work: they are not interruptions of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him; he is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so. The same is true of co-workers seeking assistance from us in serving our customers. We are all part of the same team, working for the same goals.

We take personal responsibility to ensure that all customers, potential customers, and coworkers receive a timely, efficient and courteous response to their needs. We take pride in our work; we pledge to do what we believe is right; and we vow to correct situations that go wrong. We are each responsible for the success of our customers and will endeavor to assist our customers to achieve success.

K & D Mechanical considers our employees its most valuable asset. In doing so, we consider the safety of our employees our number one priority.

K & D Mechanical is committed to providing a safe workplace for all employees as well as seeing that all field operators have the knowledge and training necessary to perform their work duties in a safe manner. It is the policy of K & D Mechanical that there is no task or job so important that an employee must violate a safety rule or place himself or herself at risk of injury or illness in order to complete a job.

Employees are required to comply with all company safety rules and are encouraged to actively participate in identifying ways to make our company and job sites a safe place to work.

Supervisors are responsible for their employees, and in many cases, the field employees must be responsible for themselves. All employees must monitor their workplace for unsafe conditions and take prompt action to eliminate any hazard that may place them in an unsafe situation.

K&D Mechanical management will ensure the implementation of its safety program by devoting the necessary resources. Weekly safety job site meetings, as well as monthly shop safety meetings, will be held to develop procedures for identifying and correcting hazards as well as planning for foreseeable emergencies. We will provide initial and ongoing training for employees and supervisors while implementing a disciplinary policy to ensure that company safety policies are followed.

The L&I rating of K&D is at .84 which indicates little or no reportable safety incidents.

K & D’s Mechanical’s involvement with commercial construction projects led us to explore options for debris removal and recycling of the products removed from job sites. In 2009 we became the owners of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise for Olympia and Bremerton. The focus of the business is to reuse and recycle as much as possible, thereby reducing the waste in the landfills. We have teamed with several local charities to accept usable products we haul away from our customers.

Since the beginning of the year, we have worked to establish a winning team. You can find our junk removal team hauling debris from Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm, DuPont, Shelton and more! You will also see us providing outstanding junk removal services in the Bremerton, Port Orchard and Vashon Island areas. Our truck teams have serviced thousands of customers and removed tons of junk since that opening day.
